Still Standing

There are many things in nature that still have an element of beauty, even when all life has left them, and they become mere shells of what they once were. One of those is trees. Often with severed limbs scattered at their feet, they still stand tall and proud, dotted across the landscape, bleached to a silver grey, reaching upwards as if by some miracle they might be saved from their fate.
